![]() Aww, here we already are on week 4 of MPC-0116 - A Full Year of Fun! What a fun kit this has been for me - I feel so ready for the next couple of months! For this week, I really wanted to use those two "meadow scene" panels that came with the kit - so soft and pretty, AND I have so many of the die-cut flowers left to play with that need a field to grow in! I was so pleased to use a few of my remaining fancy pieces on some special congrats cards, which I know I've been hitting hard lately. Deal is, my stampin' team, the Saguaro Stampers, has been ROCKING it lately! I love to send them all little notes letting them know I notice their hard work - they so deserve it! You so inspire me, ladies! Love you! One Great Year Paper Pumpkin; plus, Blissful Bouquet Paper Pumpkin; Gold Foil, Whisper White & Old Olive CS; Soft Suede Ink; Banner Punch. ![]() Pumpkin Club January 30! I think I'll get a little help from this week's Freshly Made Sketch #219, too - these nice background layers are perfect for showing off some plaid! Once I dug out some plaids from the still-current-because-it's-in-the-BIG-book Merry Moments, I decided to make a little scene to float over it. "Making a little scene" pulled me over to the Jingle All the Way bundle, which, frankly, I ended up not using as much as I thought I would. Which is SO bizarre, because it's so fun to play with those layers! I arranged my pieces, cut out the whole thing with ovals, and added some touches of glitter - I even glittered a Snowflake Element! Love how THAT came out for sure... Jingle All the Way Stamp Set; Merry Moments DSP; Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow & Whisper White CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Ovals Collection Framelits; Sleigh Ride Edgelits; Softly Falling Embossing Folder; Snowflakes Element; Occasions Piercing Template (retired); Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. ![]() Pumpkin Club January 30! Think I'll combine today's set with this fun sketch over at TGIF #37, too! Continuing my note card theme, I've come up with two quick congratulatory notes I'll be needing to send out soon - in two different color schemes! Looking over my supplies, I had lots of the light blue flowers, and lots of the yellow ones - I threw in lots of different size pearls to help fill in the sketch idea, too - sweet and dreamy, all the way! This was one of those times that I was SO glad I get two kits, lol, one I could make pretty much exactly as instructed, and one to play with here for you all, at My Pumpkin Challenge! Our theme is MPC-0116 - A Full Year of Fun, and I have a feeling we'll all be putting our own twist on THAT idea! For me, my plan is to share with you my quick notes I'm getting ready for the new year. And in January, I have FOUR birthdays right off the bat! Help me, Pumpkin! I decided to do a little set of birthday notes, and feature two of the lovely background papers that came in the kit - the polka dots, which I always thinks are happy, happy, happy! I love polka dots (But I don't wear them. Sheets and towels? Yes. Clothes? No. I wish I could, lol.) I added in a past pumpkin sentiment, and some balloon accessories, dressed up some cute envelopes, and yay, they are ready to go! I can't wait to see your ideas out at the challenge, too! I suddenly realized it'd be real nice to have a quick chocolate treat for our neighbor's grandson, who graciously agreed to help us out - he came over and let out all our dogs for a potty break and a snuggle so we could stay out late at a fun Christmas party! That SO deserves a reward, and I of course happen to have an excess of Christmas kisses on hand just now, lol. A quick pleated treat bag converted from our lovely Sketched Dots Treat Bag, and a cute tag to clip on from the awesome Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin, and we're all set! Hugs and doggy kisses all 'round! See you at the challenge! I can't believe how fast the time is running! This week, I decided to try something inspired by a really cute pic I saw by Rachel Tessman of Stamp Your Art Out. I'm still on a green kick, and somehow I'm finding I have a TON of the holly stems left in my kits still. How to use up a bunch of extras in one go? Make a tree! I snipped off an entire sheet of holly leaves, added a bit of curl with my bone folder, and tacked them down in rows in a tree shape. I added some pearls and an Iced Rhinestone for the topper, and then, bwahaha, I found a little stash of Fantast/x Champagne Mist Ink (remember that stuff, anyone?) that I brushed all over. (I also used it to stencil some holly on the envelope.) It's so funny, I did side-by-side samples with my new Wink of Stella pens, and they are almost identical! I opted for the ink on this card so I could both use it up, and get more coverage with a dauber, but I can't wait to try my Wink of Stella next! Don't forget to show off your work over at the blog - we can't wait to see! Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin; plus, Old Olive Ink; Gold Metallic Thread; Iced Rhinestones; Fantast/x Champagne Mist Ink (retired.) ![]() More Seasons Class December 17 & 19! So let's add More Seasons! This class is for the creation of nine more mini banners to fill in the rest of the year on our Season to Season Wreath, or for use on any wreath base of your choice. (As always, if you need a different time, just let me know and we'll find something that works for you!) See you soon! ![]() I can't believe we're already to Week 2 of My Pumpkin Challenge #1215 - Season of Giving! What to do? That's actually a less-than-rhetorical question for me on this kit! As has happened for ALL our holiday pumpkins, I love this kit AS IS! I almost hate to use the supplies for going off the reservation - what if I can't make the kit cards, too? I'm already well into my second kit here! Anyway, I knew I wanted to focus on those gorgeous envelopes this time - I can't let that stash of "secret DSP" get away! I decided to try out my Festive Flower Builder punch on it, and add a few extra details. I LOVE how this came out! I even got a few leaves out of the corners of the holly die-cuts! I hope this inspires you to come join us - share your gorgeous creations over at the challenge - we can't wait to see them! That said, it was a little overwhelming to have so much to choose from, lol. I decided to go fairly pared down, but, you know, in GOLD! I also embossed a few holly bunches on Old Olive to add a tiny touch of greenery, with little spots of color using the awesome Cherry Cobbler embellishments from the kit! Love it! So, how's your pumpkin liking the season? We can't wait to see you and your creations over at the challenge - see you soon!
